In line with the theme of Homecoming Scotland we are inviting visitors
from far and near to explore their roots and enjoy
an exciting programme combining traditional boat building and restoration,
the music of the sea and the great traditions of knitting.
The first two days of the Festival will be devoted to presentations and
demonstrations by national and international experts in each subject. The
second two days will follow the Festival's well established form of
non stop spectacle, music, good food, and things for all members of the
family to do.
The programme will demonstrate the fascinating international links in all
three areas and underline the significant Scottish influence across the
centuries.
All are welcome but we wish to extend a special 'haste ye home' to Scots,
however distant their roots!
