| The 2005 landside programme was by far and away the most
extensive ever to be held at the Festival. Visitors were able to watch
potters, a blacksmith, weavers, lace and candle makers, model makers, basket
weaving, and much much more. There were opportunities to learn about natural
history, lighthouses, our maritime
heritage, waste management, and fire fighting. Whatever your area of interest it
was at the Festival.

Plans are already in hand for the further development of the landside
programme in 2006. If you would like to take part please contact
Doddie McKay or
